• Manicure: A nail soak followed by trimming, shaping, buffing, and detailed cuticle work.

• Kids Manicure: A nail soak followed by trimming, shaping, buffing, and a gentle cuticle pushback.

• Pedicure: Trimming, shaping, buffing, gentle cuticle work while soaking in a sanitary, softening foot bath. Callus are treated with gel callus remover and pumiced. We include a lower leg and foot scrub that is removed with warm towels.

• Kids Pedicure: A foot soak followed by trimming, shaping, buffing, and a gentle cuticle pushback.

Stone Fox is an acrylic free nail salon, this includes removing acrylic nails from another salon.

Here is why:

• The smell.

• The fumes and airborne particles are harmful and are a common cause of asthma amongst nail technicians.

• Most likely to cause damage, allergic reaction, skin irritation, and worn-down nail syndrome.

• Least natural looking.

We find gel products superior. Below is why:

• They are more flexible and less brittle.

• Less damaging to the natural nails.

• Look more natural.

• Less likely to yellow.

• Easier and safer to remove.

• Gel nails are referred to as many, many things but “gel” generally means; gel polish, overlay, soft and hard gel.

• The overlay, soft and hard gel can be polished with regular or gel polish.

• A gel overlay is applied over the entire natural nail to help strengthen and protect it.

• An overlay can be filled in.

• Filling an overlay is better for your natural nail then continuously soaking off/removing gel polish or dip.

• They are similar to press on nails.

• These full coverage nails are made of gel (not plastic) and are applied using gel and are cured under a UV lamp.

• They come pre-shaped, already buffed and offered in many length and shape combos.

• They can be filled in.

• An easy, quick option for a full set of perfect nails.

Your cuticles will never look better!

• Detailed cuticle work is what sets apart from other nail salons!

• We use a cuticle remover, push back, buff, nip and e-file.

• We guarantee our nail services for 10 days.

• Please contact us if your nail has chipped or breaks.

• Kids services are for kids under 13.

• We are not crazy about giving children under 6 nail services. We are willing to make exceptions for attentive and helpful parents with cool kids that can chill.

• Kids Manicure- A nail soak followed by trimming, shaping, buffing, and a gentle cuticle pushback. We wrap it up with a light pressure and and lower arm massage.

• Kids Pedicure: A foot soak followed by trimming, shaping, buffing, and a gentle cuticle pushback

• Our technicians never reuse disposable implements. In fact, we give them to you to take home!

• Disposable tools are porous and cannot be properly cleaned and disinfected. Reusing them is negligent and dangerous. After each client all reusable, non porous implements are properly cleaned and disinfected. We are always compliant with VA state guidelines and laws that are upheld by the DPOR.

  *Disposables includes; nail files, buffers, pedicure slippers, (e-file/nail drill) sanding bands, toe rope/separators, orange sticks, etc.

• Reusable implements include; e-file bits, stainless steel tools, (some) nail files, etc.

• We cannot not remove ingrown toenails, this is beyond our scope of practice.

• Our goal is to use products purchased from US and Canadian based artisan suppliers who produce in small batches.

• Small batches have many benefits including: eco-friendly, better overall product quality, strong alliances with vendors, fewer allergic reactions, and more.

• Our Canadian based partners adhere to strict guidelines and laws regarding chemicals and contaminants in beauty products.

• We make efforts to avoid harsh chemicals and toxins in our products.

  *But don't worry, we have OPI.

• We can apply sunscreen to your hands.

• And/or provide UV blocking fingerless gloves.

• Weak, damaged, extremely soft, or bruised nail plates.

• Damaged or inflamed cuticles.

• Cut, broken, bruised, sunburnt, or sore skin on hands/feet.
